Terms of service

Your account

• You need an account to add, vote or flag. Browsing and listening don't need one.
• Keep your sign-in email secure. You're responsible for what's added from your account.
• Pick a handle that isn't offensive and doesn't pretend to be someone else.

What you can add

• Recordings must not include women's voices.
• Keep content fitting for davening: respectful, on topic, and in the right category.
• Only upload audio you recorded yourself, or have permission to share. For commercial songs, add a link instead of uploading the file.
• No spam, advertising, or harassment.
• Don't use the site to break the law.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you add. By adding it, you let Nigun Project store it, show it, play it, and let others link to it on the site. You can delete your own versions and recordings at any time.

Flags and removal

Anyone signed in can flag a version or recording. Flags from established accounts hide it until an admin reviews it. Admins may move, edit, hide or remove any content, and may block accounts that break these terms.

Copyright

If something on the site uses your work without permission, email contact@nigunproject.org with a link to it. We'll review it and remove it if needed.

Links to other sites

Many versions link to YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify and other sites. We don't control those sites. Their own terms apply.

No guarantees

The site is provided as is, for free. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every tune is correct for your minhag. Check with your rav or gabbai when in doubt. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using the site.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
